Profile: Patrick has spend his career to date in various digital media businesses (most of them his own!) in Ireland, Australia, UK and now the Middle East. Since 2008 he has been the CEO of content and software studio, Evolved Digital, who specialise in media technology and services such as content production for the digital signage industry, mobile marketing technology, CRM technology and interactive kiosk applications. Evolved Digital's clients include Cisco Systems, Abu Dhabi Media Company and Hypermedia. They recently opened a branch company in Muscat, and have plans to expand further across the region in 2011. Prior to moving to The Middle East, Patrick was the co founder of a mobile marketing business in London for four years that worked with brands and agencies in London, Cape Town and Sydney. This business was responsible for some of the early innovations in mobile based coupons, tickets and newspaper subscription applications. His first foray into mobile and interactive media was with Diageo in London, as the innovations manager for the 'new media' division. At the time, this was when the very early innovations were taking place with mobile and digital out of home (before that phrase existed!), and he worked on integrated media campaigns for brands such as Guinness, Smirnoff and Carling. Patrick moved to Dubai as the Middle East GM for digital signage software company EnQii. This is where he became immersed in the DOOH sector, and identified the opportunity to focus on content production and interactivity services, bridging the technology / media gap that led him to setting up Evolved Digital. Patrick will be blogging on DOOH insights about content production and interactive technologies in the industry, particularly about interesting and relevant work both locally and internationally.
